We are delighted to announce that we are running an after school club for children who are interested in arts and crafts. Initially there are two groups: KS1 and KS2, with KS3/4 starting soon after.
WHAT ARE THEY?
The format of the KS2 classes will be to take a different medium each half-term and each week explore the themes of colour, line/pattern/design, texture and shape/form. This builds up to the completion of a final project in the last session which combines all of the skills learned.
KS1 classes will be similar but worked around a story each time.
The focus each term is:
Spring 1: paper/card
Spring 2: textiles
Summer 1: printing
Summer 2: modelling
KS3 and 4 groups will be more in line with the GCSE scheme of work and will prepare/support your child while offering a chance to explore a range of media in more detail.
WHERE ARE THEY?
KS1 and 2 groups will be at the Chapter House Rooms at St Andrew’s Church in Shortmead Street, Biggleswade.
WHEN ARE THEY?
KS1: Wednesday 22nd/29th Jan 5th/12th Feb 4.00pm – 5.00pm
KS2: Friday 24th/31st Jan 7th/14th Feb 4.00pm – 5.00pm
WHO IS RUNNING THEM?
Adrian, Rebecca and Michelle are all ex-teachers, have DBS clearance and insurance.
Classes are £15 per session paid for a half term in advance to encourage commitment.
